In simple terms, the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI considers Sovereign Citizens extremists and their common law grand jury to be domestic terrorists, so why would 2 Sarasota County Charter Review Board Members vote twice on forming a special committee to study the proposal for the “people’s common law grand jury” concept that is being pushed by the extreme right wing National Liberty Alliance nationwide?
“Who’s Zoomin Who Here”, are the same 2 Sarasota County Charter Review Board Members who continue to vote for the “people’s common law grand jury” concept in on it, are they Tea Party Members working in concert with Roger Dowdell the state coordinator of the right-wing National Liberty Alliance and a long time Tea Party advocate?
Tea Party activists have been trying to set up common law grand juries, which don’t actually carry any legal authority, for years in hopes of convicting — and hanging — President Barack Obama for treason. Roger Dowdell, state coordinator of the right-wing National Liberty Alliance, claims a common law grand jury was already operating in Manatee County, Florida, but he offered no proof. “I can’t talk about it,” he said. “Everything is secret. In order to keep innocents who may be investigated from being damaged, whatever a grand jury does is secret.” see RAW STORY http://www.rawstory.com/2015/10/these-florida-tea-partiers-plan-to-set-up-a-secret-vigilante-court-to-arrest-and-possibly-execute-obama/
SARASOTA COUNTY – Sarasota County’s Charter Review Board is giving credibility to the sovereign citizen movement and aiding in its recruiting because the board refuses to dismiss the so-called “people’s common law grand jury” concept, says a national expert who has tracked sovereign citizens and their crimes for the past 18 years. “They are using your recent hearings as marketing tools, since you are the only governmental organization to even suggest that they are offering a legal and valid system,” JJ MacNab wrote in an email sent Tuesday to each Charter Review Board member. She said she has not received any replies. MacNab is a fellow at the George Washington University Center for Cyber & Homeland Security’s Program on Extremism. She’s a published author and a national expert on sovereign citizens and other extremist groups. She consults frequently with law enforcement, assists other watchdog groups and has testified several times before U.S. Senate committees on anti-government groups and their financial scams and tactics.
“Take a look at the French Revolution and what took place there” said Mike Bolam in a veiled threat of violence. Mike Bolam has attended Sarasota charter review board meetings to support the common law grand juries with Roger Dowdell.
Most jurisdictions reject the common law grand jury concept (which is nonsense), which has long been a goal of the sovereign citizen movement, MacNab said. However, at their meeting in May 2015, Sarasota County’s Charter Review Board deadlocked in a 4-4 vote on forming a special committee to study the proposal, which they claim would allow private citizens to, on their own, indict government officials for corruption without any official assistance or oversight — even though the concept would violate state law. The May vote failed because of the tie. But last week, the Charter Review Board voted again on whether to hear another presentation on the common law grand jury. This time, the motion failed 5-2, but two members of the board have not given up on the common law grand jury. They pointed out that a loophole in the board’s bylaws will allow the topic to be raised at every future board meeting. But MacNab said the problem is, until the Charter Review Board flatly rejects the common law grand jury idea, its meetings will be used as a recruitment tool and a public forum for the concept’s supporters. In her email, MacNab included a social media post on the “Task Force Liberty” website (local Sarasota real estate man runs this website) in which the board’s 4-4 vote was touted as a victory. “BREAKING NEWS! Common Law Grand Jury was 1 vote shy of having the Sarasota County Charter Review Board allow a special committee to investigate and learn about the Common Law Grand Jury and allow it to have a room in the court house,” the post states. “I think this is a huge step forward!” MacNab called the board’s second vote “foolish.” “Once I can see, but twice?” she said. “They had the opportunity to go home and Google it.”
Back on September 30th, 2015 I was on ABC 7 Sarasota with Alan Cohn’s News at 7:00 pm discussing, with Charter Review Board member Pat Wayman, the Sovereign Citizen groups attempt to infiltrate local politics with their bizarre ‘Citizens Grand Jury’. Pat Wayman at the time claimed no knowledge of any link between the violent Sovereign Citizen Group and the Citizens Grand Jury, today, October 19th, it has been learned that she is now pushing the idea for the Citizens Grand Jury, Two members of Sarasota County’s Charter Review Board Pat Wayman and Steven R. Fields have not given up on the so-called Sovereign Citizen “people’s common law grand jury.”

RAW STORY Published October 21st, 2015…Sarasota Florida Tea Partiers Pat Wayman aka Pat Shewmake Wayman and Steven R. Fields plan to set up a secret vigilante court to arrest — and possibly execute — Obama. Sarasota county is considering changes to its charter review board after two elected members have focused on punishing political enemies through extralegal tactics instead of government business. The Sarasota County charter review board typically proposes minor changes to the county charter when they meet three times a year, but critics say two of its members — Pat Wayman aka Pat Shewmake Wayman and Steven R. Fields — have been using their positions to usurp authority from other elected officials, reported the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. see RAW STORY http://www.rawstory.com/2015/10/these-florida-tea-partiers-plan-to-set-up-a-secret-vigilante-court-to-arrest-and-possibly-execute-obama/
